Once again Indian cinema rules over the 38th weekend box office.

Once again Indian cinema rules over the 38th weekend box office, with ‘Jawan’ being on the top of the list only two weeks through its screening.

Although the Bollywood movie, directed by Atlee, could not gain its previous week’s success in handing out tickets, it still manages to remain on top of the list with 11,208 passes sold.

So far, ‘Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1’ by Christopher McQuarrie bears the torch and leads the cinema sales with distributing 572,037 tickets.

This week, ‘The Nun II’ haunted the second on the list again, selling 30,461 cinema passes.

Following the horror/thriller directed by Michael Chaves, the third best-selling movie of the week was another Hollywood production, titled ‘A Haunting in Venice’ directed by Kenneth Branagh. The movie lured 26,778 cinema lovers to the local cinema halls in Dubai.

Iranian cinema halls continue to fill with laughter as Karim Amini’s two hilarious comedy movies ‘Fossil’ and ‘Lawless City’ keep staying on the top part of the country’s box office attracting fans in huge numbers to the theaters.

As the following table states, the popularity of 'Fossil' remains unparalleled selling more than 73,300 tickets. The hilarious comedy has succeeded to remain on the top of the list since its appearance on screen 26 weeks ago.

The closest running movie after this light-hearted movie is Amini’s 'Lawless City', his other comedy this year. It once again secured the second spot on the list, selling more than 58,600 passes.

Davoud Atyabi’s 'Nargil 2' (Coconut 2) admits 27,216 spectators to the theaters hall to maintain its position as the thirst movie on top of the box office list.

The forth position of the list saw some change as Morteza Fatemi’s social drama ‘Motherless’ left its place and gave it to ‘Playing with Stars’, directed by Hatef Alimardani.
